Spraybows
If you find yourself in just the right position you may see a rainbow in the mist of a waterfall, I call these spraybows. Finding waterfalls and then figuring out when the best opportunity to capture a spraybow takes a bit of planning and preparation. After locating the waterfall, I then need to figure out which way it is facing. A waterfall that faces north may not ever produce a spraybow so I typically skip those in favor of other waterfalls that are more likely to have spraybows. Once I figure out the orientation of the waterfall I then need to figure out the time of day and time of year where the sunlight can hit the mist. Now that I have all the details to capture a spraybow I just need to wait until the sky is clear and perhaps even waiting until the stream/creek/river has more water.
