Tahoma at Packwood Lake
Tahoma (Mt Rainier) is a spectacular mountain to photograph and this is why I have so many shots of this mountain. At 14,411' above sea level Tahoma ranks 17th tallest mountain in the US but with 13,210' of prominence it ranks #1 in the contiguous US and #4 in the US for topographical prominence, in other words, it sticks out and above everything around it. This prominence means that pictures can be captured from all around it. Not only does it stand above the surrounding mountains, but the seasons can change the amount of snow/ice/glacier which can significantly change the way the mountain looks. This shot is taken from the SE side near Packwood Lake durgin a rare blue sky day in winter.
16x20 printed on 17x22 Canon Photo Paper Pro Luster or Hahnemuhle Photo Rag Smooth.
8x10 printed on 8.5x11 Canon Photo Paper Pro Luster or Hahnemuhle Photo Rag Smooth.
Some custom sizes available.
Daniel Imagery watermark will be removed from printing.
